Today all Springville fourth graders came to their hallway polling station, presented their voter identification cards, and voted in the Presidential election. Voting was the culminating activity in a study of the election process.
The votes (including absentee votes!) were tabulated at lunch, and the tallies were as follows: Donald Trump 16 votes, Hillary Clinton 65 votes. Our fourth graders chose Hillary Clinton as their next president, and learned a great deal about democracy and the electoral process. Many thanks to our fourth grade teachers for facilitating such a great learning experience!
